best ever

Super great woking with OneDrive, the best notes appl I’ve ever used.

The best App to organize all my notes

This is absolutely the BEST app to write, edit, gather, and organize all my notes. I can be on the go and just open the app to add or edit something on my phone. Its great. What I love is that you can create notebooks specific to whatever project your notes relate to. Most note apps only allow you to create "notes". This is literally a binder for all your notebooks. I would recommend it to everyone, but especially those who are a bit obsessed with organizing :) The ONLY think I would ask is the font setting on the phone app needs to be fixed. Its locked into one font? I cant fix mine for some reason even though I set it to another font in settings, its not reflected when I type.

Overall, pretty awesome

One thing that would be great is a built-in screenshot tool, like the one on the Windows version.

I love this app - please bring the draw function to Mac

One note is the best Microsoft productivity app. After i moved ot Mac in 2007, Only windows application I was missing was the onenote. I have tried multiple different notebook application for Mac and iOS, Nothing compared ot Onenote. Now onenote syncs simlesslessly across all platform (Mac, PC, and all tablets).- that is wonderful !!! However, I am still missing the drowing feature in mac version. Although Microsoft recenlty added that functionality to ipad version. I am not sure why microsoft is holding off the drowing function in Mac onenote that existed in windows version beofre the Era of tablets and touch screens. Thanks

Useful Useful Useful!

I used this appllication throughout college, and I’m a year out now. It has faithfully kept my notes, across devices and through the years, even when I wasn’t using it for stretches at a time. And they don’t try to do anything annoying like spamming my email or glitching and deleting all my notes. Props to OneNote. Please and thank you.

GREAT APP

I have been using this notes APP and it has made a huge difference in my organization. YOU are in control. YOU create how you want you notes to look. I love it..

A Personal Document Management System

This is a bullet-proof personal document management system. Unusually for Microsoft it is well designed and well thought out. After trying it I dropped Evernote (it’s interface was so bad I had no incentive to use it). It has become an integral part of my working environment. Oddly, it’s free. Nowadyas I combine it with Slack for both work and private life.

Great app

I can’t believe this software is free!

Functional and Easy to Use

As a writer who’s tried a number of different digital notebook-type apps and hasn’t been satisfied thus far, I’ve been relatively happy with One Note so far. it allows me to create different notebooks for different writing projects with quick, easy to learn functionality, and the ability to share between devices is a must. My one gripe about One Note is its lack of visual customization; I’m a very visual person, and I like to have a lot of control over how something looks. But that’s a personal choice. If you’re looking for a cloud notebook app that doesn’t begin with “Ever”, you can’t go wrong with One Note.

keep it up ONE NOTE

what a great app, i use it to add my product research information. love the tabs and that i can use it as a binder to lookup and title i added. LV it

All around excellent app

I have been (and still am) a long time user of Evernote. I turned to Evernote after becoming disgruntled with OneNote many years ago. However, I came back to OneNote because Evernote refuses to provide an adequate editor for taking notes. I started using OneNote again for the simple ability to select preset styles like Heading 1, Heading 2, Code, etc. which Evernote still does not provide. I’m staying with OneNote because the mobile apps make it possible for me to seamlessly have my notes and work on them anywhere. The one improvement I’d like to see is the ability to have custom inline styles available like the block styles. As a programmer, having the ability to style text as monospace inline is important and having to continually set the font from the font list can really slow me down. Plus, I’d like to apply multiple styles like a font color and background color as well. So having the ability to simply select that (or assign it to a shortcut key) would be really helpful. Wish-list feature: The ability to take notes in Markdown and have them convert to HTML-like display.

Best Orginzational App EVER

Must use in business if lists have to be updated on the go. We use a notebook between employees and this tool is invaluable as we can update and the list is updated for everyone in real time. Amazing.

It’s my one-stop-shop!

I can’t image life without One Note. I have seriously loved the integration of this program into all my note taking and information management needs on a weekly and almost daily basis. I now use this program to list thoughts, plans, notes, goals, journals, etc. You name it, I keep it here. It is so easy and efficient.

the reason my life will finally become organized

so productive, efficient, and plain amazing, didn’t know I was looking for this until I came across it, wish I had found it earlier

OneNote is the best!

As a designer, I’ve used (and loved!) OneNote for years to keep my notes on projects and to sketch out new ideas. About 6 years ago, I switched platforms from PC to Mac. It didn’t occur to me to check to see if OneNote was available for Mac…until I’d made the switch and realized it wasn’t. I was bummed. I tried many different Mac note-taking programs, but none of them measured up. I was so excited when OneNote for Mac finally became available! It’s the perfect program for my needs, and I’m so happy to have it back. It makes my life easier in so many ways. Thank you, Microsoft!

Great software!

I love one note. I has so many powerful features, and it syncs between my devices! Colorful as well. Glad it can do work offline. It is not quite like a word processor application, which is both a blessing and a painpoint. It’s awesome to be able to start essentially anywhere on a page, but at the same time the software should know that most of the time you mean to start directly below what you’ve already written and in line with the other stuff. Not sure how to implement sortof “auto correct” features since it might ruin the functionality for other users.

Love it

easy way to have the same notes on all my devices!

Best note taking application

Switched from Evernote to OneNote a long time back, and am enjoying my decision every time I use OneNote. I like the whole idea of being able to write anywhere and everywhere in the page and move the notes around. Usually, I log high-level ideas in a page to discuss with colleagues and during the meeting add comments/feedback from different people. The interface makes this very easy and intuitive. I add a lot of PDFs (of graphs, diagrams) to my notes, and the rendering of these (when inserted as printout) on a web page (that I can share with coworkers) is flawless! Update: Ability to share a specific page of a notebook is still missing. It would also be awesome to be able to customize the formatting styles (for instance, change the font for the `code` style) in Mac.

Limited to a single window

Microsoft has been inundated for a long time with requests to allow OneNote for Mac to open multiple windows. The Windows version allows multiple windows. So do Evernote and Notes on Mac.

Amazing Notetaking App - But need SEND TO EMAIL button

I really love using OneNote. It’s a fast, easy way to take down notes and allowed me to be more organized. However, NEEDS SEND TO EMAIL BUTTON for Mac version. It’s a critical part of my note summary but now I have to copy and paste and it’s very clunky to which I have to re-format the notes.
