I love OneNote, but with the new update, I cannot sign in on the app. When I try to, it crashes.. Authentication session has expired every time I try to log in and sync my notebook. And then the dreaded pinwheel until I force quit. My online account works, but I prefer using the app. Have sent error reports numerous times to Apple and Microsoft. No dice. Please fix!
The windows version of courses has all the bells and whistles over the Mac version. Can’t complain much though, as it is the best notetaking app from what is offered on the Mac for free.
Definelty one of the best iterations of OneNote
It helps me in keep record of all of my meetings, ideas, and strategies . I’d really give it 4.5/5 if i could.
First of all, it’s free. I have no damage to my wallet for this product at all and it’s quite easy to use. When it comes to taking notes, it’s nice to use something that allows me to use more space to make notes. My favorite part is being able to move text boxes around much more freely as opposed to word documents who keep you locked in much more and require tedious effort to turn off the option. I like that it’s an endless stream but hate that it refuses to print simply on one page like I would like to. That’s a bit of a shame. All in all though, the program is so convenient and aesthetically pleasing. With so many courses being taken, this is a good way to organize it. I wish that when I search, I could limit it to searching only within the specific notebook I’m using though. I don’t know why I would want to search across notebooks considering I dedicate each to one class. Otherwise, no big complaints.
Very easy to use and quite productive. Must have.
I have a terrible habit of using sticky notes and just have mounds of them. So I entered all my thoughts and things into notebooks and could throw them all away. I love it! I also use this at work (Windows) at home (Mac) - the Mac version does not have the ability to “dock” it on the side so you can quickly enter things and it’s always on top. Would LOVE that feature on my Mac!!
This has been a great tool to use across three devices- mac, pc, iphone, and ipad. The only hit against it is that the mac version doesnt allow notes to be organized on the left pane of the window which is really helpful when you have a lot of layers. It’s great and updates automatically - I love it and use it everyday.
I’ve tried many note-taking apps. This one is by far the most comprehensive, intuitive, easy to use, yet complete. I often try to think what could be improved but they seem to come up with it before I crystallize it. Thank you so much people!!! My life is in OneNote.
I love OneNote. All of the major attributes I want are here: cloud-based so it is accessible anywhere, and easy to organize with tabs and notebooks. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is that the Mac version still lacks many of the advanced tools that can be found in the Windows version of the application. The most notable ommission is the screen capture tool. Overall though, highly recommended.
convenient to summarized study material in one file with structure
That is all!
After trying and failing with other similar apps despite reading books on their use, OneNote has been a success for me. Perhaps because OneNote and I think alike or that it’s so intuitive to use that I don’t need to read a book for effective use. The ability to share notebooks with read-only or full access has greatly simplified my life - we’re using OneNote in my extended family to keep track of a family member’s health, cutting down on phone calls and texts that we’ve used in the past to keep everyone up-to-date. We used it to organize our bike trip to Austria - I can’t say enough goo things about this app!
For work - it is great for taking/keeping notes and allows you to open/read the notes on multiple platforms like PC, Mac, IOS devices. For Home - it is great for sharing a note like a shopping list where everyone can add their items on the same list.
I switched from Evernote to OneNote because Evernote consistently had sync problems — it would tell me there were ‘conflict’ problems. OneNote always syncs perfectly. It just works. Love it.
It makes note taking a lot easier. It is a great place to organize and store your notes. I highly recommend if you are in college and have many classes and are always tyoing notes. I use this app on my macbook, Ipad, Surface Pro and tablet. It works well accross all devices.
I would provide 5 stars if the OS X version had the same functionality as the MS Windows version. Outstanding app.
This is a great Application.
This is a beautiful application that works great among different devises, and even on browser. I use it to organize projects from podcasts notes to medical records, writtings, vacations and everythign in between. I use it on Mac, PC, iOS, at work, everywhere. Allows colaboration from others and changes can be seen in real time. It is totally free and does not requires Office. Latest versions allows to embed videos and use the new iPad pensil. I used Evernote sometimes before but now they charge a subscription. This do everythign I need and completelly free.
