Office 2016 on Mac Printer Misalignment

Love this app. Works really well, tons of different options and features and so very handy when taking notes remotely, syncing, etc. It’s my number one app for note taking, even over Evernote (since you have to pay for more space w/ Evernote!) ONLY problem in the Mac Office 2016 version even Mac Office 2011 is the printer function. I work on the Microsoft version at my job, and when printing, the printout is aligned, falls within the margins and even prints the title on the footer. In the Mac version however, the words printer preferences does not allow you to shrink the page, or align it to any margins. The printout chops the Title and last sentence on a page in half, so you don’t see the full words. And there is no title added in the footer of the page with Page number. Am adding review on the Microsoft OneNote Support and hopefully it allows screenshots/images to post the difference in the features extended on the Microsoft OS versus the Mac OS. Hopefully, a patch can be sent on this.

Great Product

I have both windows and mac product this app syncs like a pro.

LifeofaTechEdTeacher

I have grown to really like the streamline of this app and the functionality overall with the ease of keeping notes, plans, checklists, and files in one central place.

Screen Capture

The screenshot feature is a hallmark of this program on the windows side, yet sorely lacking in the mac version. Hopefully, this will be added in future versions. Other than that, the ability to “draw” shapes, arrows, etc is not currently an option- hopefully they’ll add that too. By far and large the sync with Onedrive is fantastic and convenient for accessing information on the go and as needed. With the above corrections or featuers added, this would easily a 5 star app. ****Update 4/2016**** OneNote for Mac has included the ability to draw shapes, arrows, etc (a necessity for any visual learner). The screenshot feature is present, but extremely *buggy* and not “bulit-in” to the program like it is on the windows. 4.5 stars, 5/5 once thats figured out

Great tool to organize your activities!

Love that they improve and listen to customer’s feedback. Excellent how easily you can arrange text, graphics etc. Overall a great program.

Best note taking application

Switched from Evernote to OneNote a long time back, and am enjoying my decision every time I use OneNote. I like the whole idea of being able to write anywhere and everywhere in the page and move the notes around. Usually, I log high-level ideas in a page to discuss with colleagues and during the meeting add comments/feedback from different people. The interface makes this very easy and intuitive. I add a lot of PDFs (of graphs, diagrams) to my notes, and the rendering of these (when inserted as printout) on a web page (that I can share with coworkers) is flawless! Evernote somehow struggles with rendering gnuplot PDFs. It would be great to be able to share a specific page in a notebook rather than share the entire notebook.

By far the best app for note taking

Automatically saves to one drive. Need i say more?

super handing with quirks

this is super handy with just a couple quirks

Indispensible

This is one of my most used apps. There is no better way to organize your notes and have them available on every device you have.

Student: I use this App constantly

I am a student, and this product is great for PDF downloads to mark-up. I would certainly recommend this for anyone that needs to mark-up documents.

Great tool for organizing / managing complex projects

I began using this most heavily as a consultant. Around that time integration with outlook calendar had been implemented. This made keeping track of meetings so much easier. I love the video and audio features. I also love the clipper tool. Since I use both Mac OSX and Windows, I appreciate that it is so similar and available on both operating systems on all of our devices.

Love my Onenote - One Problem...

Best for organizing thoughts, and for writing. But one problem - No way to easily back it up. Since I brainstorm here, I fear some kind of catastrophic failure, or even user error. Those worries would be allayed in full if only I could occasionally save a backup to an external device, but that does not appear to be an option. I’m afraid microsoft, like apple, is too obsessed with recruiting paid subscribers to their cloud/drive services to allow people to safely back up on their own. Other than this one missing feature, I adore my OneNote. Please let me know if this changes and I will update to a 5-star.

At first I did not like it.

I was a long time user of Circus Ponies Notebooks and when they closed, I began a search for a replacement. This was one of the first I tried. I didn’t really like it so I continued to search. I eliminated most others quickly and I gave a couple serious consideration, using them for weeks before moving on. I eventually gave OneNote another try. OneNote for OS X is a nice product. I would have given it 4 stars but added one because of the price. The major shortcoming for me is the lack of local storage; there are some things that I will never put into the cloud. OneNote for Windows is a genuine 5 star product. In fact, with the demise of Circus Ponies and my need for a suitable replacement, I now use Windows more than OS X.

Just love it

The best of the best note taking applications on the market. I have been using OneNote for many years. I occassionly may try using others in the same market and would always return back to OneNote as the only solution.

One note

They need a drawing TOOL!!! otherwise pretty good

Works great with Surface

I use a Surface Pro 3 for taking notes. Every time I finish taking notes, this app will sync the note as long as the devices are connected to the internet and I can look at my notes almost everywhere even if I don’t have my Surface Pro with me.

Phenomenal App

Amazing, no problems

Needs built-in picture tools

It’s great in all aspects but would be fantastic if a built-in photo editor was incorporated into the program, like with the other programs in the Office suite like Word and Powerpoint. I hate not being able to crop an image or tune the colors when pasting an image into my notes. Of course resizing is prevalent but having the ability to at least crop an image would be an excellent improvement.

Great for organizing meetings & ideas

I work in a number of different settings with lots of projects open at once. OneNote helps me keep my notes & ideas together in a coherent way, so that I’m able to open up something from last week and pick up right where I left off. I’m running it on an office Mac, a travelling office MacBookAir and my iPhone: syncing works smoothly. I recommend OneNote without reservation.

Good, but not as good as Windows

It’s a good note taking app. I use it on both Windows and Apple. The syncing generally works fine. The Windows version is far better than the Mac version. I hope they move some of those features to this app soon.
